Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born the 16th of April, 1996, in Miami Florida. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. She is the daughter of an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descendance. Her mother comes from Spanish and English ancestry. The Taylor-Joy family was a clan of six children. Four of her siblings are of the marriage that she had with Taylor's father. Buenos Aires was her home up until she was six years old, and the family relocated into Victoria in London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatic and that she was unable to take the time to learn English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she changed schools from Northlands. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in shows. She dropped out of the high school aged 16 to pursue an acting profession. At a very young age, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to work as an actress. her dream came true after she was offered a modeling job by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
