Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She is a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington, a non-profit liberal news website, is a television personality as well as a writer and charitable donor. Her birthplace was in Greece but moved to England at age 16. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA at the level of economics. In the beginning, as the only non-English student to graduate, she was voted the president of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. She was a conservative syndicated journalist after graduating as well. When The Huffington Post launched a couple of years after, she created an online voice platform which gave criticisms of the political landscape. The fame of Arianna brought in a variety of famous contributors who shared their opinions on politics, news and culture. Arianna became famous in 2003 when she decided to run as an independent in the California recall election to replace the Governor Davis. Apart from this she also led a Detroit project to promote fuel efficient cars. In 2009, she was acclaimed by Forbes as one of the most influential women in the media, achieving 12th spot on the listing and the following year the Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was made president of the group of media. It included a variety of AOL properties of the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos, a journalist who is also a management consultant. Though she shared a kinship relationship with both her father and mother and father, it was their relationship which helped mold her. As early as her childhood she displayed ability to lead that has become well known. At the age of 16 she began her study with her native United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society as a student and was the first woman to serve as the president. She graduated in 1972 with a master's degree in Economics. In the years following her graduation, she became a television presenter and columnist. Additionally, she was a guest alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with his editing assistance.
