Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor, director, producer as well as a teacher in St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's father is British, as is her mother was an Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother working in rehearsals for plays.
